RENOVATION COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES, MARCH 29, 2005

IMMACULATE CONCEPTION PARISH, VAN HORNE, IOWA

 

 

1.  Meeting was called to order by: Fr. Baldwin    at 7:00 PM

3.  Review of Minutes:  Initial meeting of the committee – no minutes to approve  

4.  Mary Rausch was appointed chairperson of the committee and Pam Douglas was appointed secretary.
    

5.  Fr. Baldwin distributed the renovation policies for the Archdiocese.  The policies were reviewed by the committee.  Mary Rausch asked if anyone had copies of the consultant notes from the previous committee. Fr. Baldwin will check.

6.  Fr. Baldwin went through the preliminary documents with the committee.

7.  Linda Hansmeier presented her ideas for better utilization of the space in the church basement for religious education.  She would like to see 6 to 7 classrooms.  She would like to see storage in each room as well as tack strips, white boards and bulletin boards.  She would like to see the lighting improved and more electrical outlets.  Storage areas for AV equipment and the copier were also requested.

8.  Fr.  Baldwin told us that we needed to put a list together of what changes we wanted to make as part of the renovation.  Mary Rausch suggested that each committee member put together their own list and send it to her.  She would combine the lists and distribute it back to the committee members for review prior to the next meeting.  The committee would then review the list and discuss it at the next meeting.

9.  NEXT MEETING:  Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at 6:30PM at Immaculate Conception
